'Devastating' Moyers Probe of Press and Iraq Coming

We just want to give you a heads up that this PBS show should not be missed next Wednesday. From what I just read about it on the EDITOR & PUBLISHER site it appears to be aimed at discrediting the MSM but may be just another article to allow them to escape real criticism and avoid being totally exposed by looking like they just made a few bad judgements, hope to do better in the future and forgiven for honest mistakes. Don`t be fooled!!!!!!!!! There were no bad judgements, no mistakes, no laziness and no patriotism on any ones part...They were all totally controlled by greed and corruption. The 5 Ws which is the cornerstone of journalism are who, what, when, where and why. They are never forgotten when a reporter is on a story and are never forgotten when the government and corporate interest are telling the MSM what they can publish. We`ll follow this story, watch the broadcast Wednesday and post a follow up on this story. There will most likely be alot of spin and double talk on this show so you might want to record it and watch it a few times...Spin and double talk are not easy to detect on the first viewing but become more obvious if you watch a show over and over. In Venezuela, a Showdown Looms Over Oil

This 2 page NYT article can be summed up and un-spun in just a few words, let me show you how simple the truth can be: President Chavez of Venezuela hates to see American oil companies like EXXON MOBIL post a 40.1 billion dollar profit for the 3rd quarter of 2006 almost as much as he hates to see 30 thousand people, mostly children from 3rd world countries like Venezuela, die from starvation and disease every single day. He is doing his best to put a stop to both atrocities. If that makes him wrong then what is right? Maybe some people don`t know the difference but I bet those people are not the ones starving to death.

Washington official: McCain believed to be mentally ill by Washington republicans

In a completely unintended and accidental conversation with an official from the Dept. of Interior, who claims to be very close to some republicans on the hill, the friendly conversation turned to the economy and politics, after exchanging pleasantries about family, our kids and vacation time. The official seemed to be disturbed that people close to McCain consider him to be mentally unstable and that they are afraid to go public with their feelings. He claimed that these people worried that someone with possible mental disorders could actually be running for President and no one seemed to be willing to address it. Some of the phrases the official used about McCain included, ``LOOSE CANNON``, ``DELUSIONAL``, ``LAPSE OF MEMORY``, but the main feeling which was expressed was that McCain`s political aspirations to become President,( COMMANDER IN CHIEF), far outweigh his good judgement, honesty and even common sense. The recent statements he made about security in Iraq, his trip there to prove a point, his feeble attempt to discredit Michael Ware and his continued stubbornness to stick to his guns in the face of ever increasing criticism, along with incredibly unbelievable comments recently seem to be reason for anyone to doubt his sanity. He may have proven one fact which Bush has harped on for years, TERRORISM IS ALIVE AND DOING WELL. McCain is an extremely powerful politician, holding the keys to other powerful peoples lives and futures in his hands and if those people are terrorized into keeping quiet about their own beliefs while he continues to run for the office of President and specially if he wins, the war on terror will truly be a long one.

Michael Ware post update

Please excuse us, we jumped the gun on the Michael Ware post below because we assumed the Drudge Report story was accurate. We have since learned that the whole story about Michael on the Drudge link is false. Probably a feeble attempt to discredit Michael for his dicrediting Senator McCain about conditions in Iraq. The story has now backfired and further discredited McCain and now put Drudge into the scam. Congrats Michael, keep up the good work.

Michael Ware of CNN risk it all for the truth

Michael Ware is caught between the rock and the hard place. He is in the same position as thousands of reporters who work for Mainstream News, he knows the truth but over and over again he has been censored and unable to report it because he still answers to an editor who in turn answers to the government. Michael wants to tell the real story but most of the time I see him biting his tongue to protect his job, his pension, his creditability and his life if he goes too far in exposing the real corruption. If every reporter had his guts we would not be listening to and watching the government propaganda we are all subjected to daily, the American people would see the reality and we would not be in the situation we now face..Three cheers for Michael Ware and if he has a few beers to be able to put up with the system which prevails, more power to him. I for one am going to have a cold one in his honor right now. Keep it up Michael, maybe other reporters will follow suit but just in case, welcome to the world of independent media. We call on every reporter who reads this to back Michael 100%, forget your instinct for personal survival and start reporting the truth as you know it. You people know the truth so start telling it. You are the first, last and only line of defense for humanity.
